Sign up to present your work
We welcome Oregon State University students (undergraduates, graduates, or post-docs) to present their research at any stage in the research process. Speakers may choose to present a draft research proposal, conference talk, or a finalized dissertation defense. It is a great opportunity to practice public speaking, work out any logistical kinks, gather feedback from an array of scholars, field some questions and comments, and raise awareness about your work and research process!
Speakers typically present for 15-30 minutes with a Q&A afterwards. However, this seminar is meant to serve students and their needs. If you want to give a more discussion-based presentation, have an activity to try out, or want practice facilitating a meeting on a particular topic of interest related to people and nature, you can sign up for that too!
Please be in contact with the hosts to help plan your ideas at least 2 weeks in advance.
Our Spring 2024 series (April through June) will be on Tuesdays from 11 am to 12pm in Nash Hall, room 032. In-person presentations are preferred, but remote presentations are possible.
If you are interested in presenting, please fill out the form below. If you have questions, email a host- Krista Harrington, Aakash Upraity, or Becca Quinn-Wheaton or fill out our contact form on the "contact" page.
